PSAT 8/9 Practice Test Questions PDF
The PSAT 8/9 is the first test in the SAT suite of assessments is offered to 8th and 9th graders. The PSAT 8/9 test measures Reading, Writing and Language, and Math skills learned both in and out of the school. The Reading and Writing subject areas are combined for an Evidence-Based Reading and Writing section score. Math has its own separate section score.
PSAT 8/9 Evidence-Based Reading and Writing
The evidence based reading and writing section composed of two sets that assess different but related skills and knowledge. The Reading Test give you a chance to show how well you understand what you read, you won’t have to make any complex inferences. You will mainly be expected to read passages and draw simple, one step conclusions that are spelled out in the text. The Writing and Language Test asks you to revise and edit text.
PSAT 8/9 Writing and Language Test
The test comprises a series of passages and associated multiple choice questions that put you in a role of someone editing the work of unspecified writer. This means you should have knowledge of basic rules like how to use commas to separate a list, like you are revising the passages for development, organization, and effective language use as well as editing the passages to ensure that they follow the conventions of standard written English grammar, usage, and punctuation.
PSAT 8/9 Math
On the Math section of the PSAT 8/9, evaluates your ability to solve problem and use appropriate approaches and tools strategically. It measures math skills across all areas including ratios, percents, proportions, introductory probability, and statistics.
